Winter Tights Review Update – Athleta Homestretch
While I was away for Thanksgiving, the other Skortaholics apparently assigned me the job of reviewing the Athleta Homestretch running tights (the ones with the zippers!). So, of course, I ordered them right away. Blog duties call!
I was wearing my new Homestretch running tights and sending pictures to my friends within 30 minutes.I arrived home from my Thanksgiving trip to find my Athleta order waiting on the coffee table. And I was wearing my new Homestretch running tights and sending pictures to my friends within 30 minutes. The fabric was super soft and the grey/black color combination was flattering. My husband said they looked good and I should keep them even if they don’t work for running.
Fast forward to my long run. Problem: The tights wouldn’t stay up. I asked my husband to carry my stuff that would normally go in the back pocket and tied the never ending string a little tighter around my waist. Even after emptying the rear pocket, I had to yank the tights up every few steps. Using the size guide I chose medium regular. I was not ready to give up on these tights and wanted to exchange them for the medium petite — but they do not come in petite. I think I will try the Relay instead . . .
Pros: Great fabric, the zipper on the ankles never make contact with skin, look great.
Cons: Small rear pocket, reflection on rear pocket and ankle only. Showed sweat.
